Fall

Flu Vaccine:

We have standard flu vaccine for the fall of 2009. We are starting to give it early this year, we began as of 9/02/09. This is in an effort to boost everyone's general immunity early since the novel H1N1 flu will likely ramp up quickly once school starts. See our H1N1 page for a frequently asked question page about it. We will have flu shot clinics every Wednesday afternoon from 2:00-4:00pm from September thru at least November, and possibly longer this year depending on how the novel H1N1 situation works out.

The pneumonia shot is recommended if you are over 65, or have any form of chronic lung disease, chronic heart disease, liver disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic immunosuppression, or are missing a spleen. You should get this shot at least once in your lifetime.  If you had it before age 65, then it should be repeated once after 5 years.
